"What are the ingredients in the croissants and organic zucchini bread?"
The Marketplace Croissants are baked here from a frozen dough. The ingredients are wheat flour, butter, sugar, yeast, dextrose, salt, dough conditioner, dried milk, and butter flavor.
We make the Zuchinni Bread from scratch. It qualifies as organic because it contains at least 51% organic ingredients by weight. The ingredients are: Organic zucchini, eggs, organic wheat flour, canola/olive oil blend, organic sugar, pecans, cinnamon, cloves, salt, baking soda, and baking powder
"How many calories is in the stir fry sauce?"
3 oz of the GF stir fry "to order" sauce has 15 calories, 0 fat, .5g protein, 3.4 g carbs, 404mg sodium
"Why are students not allowed to use green bowls for salad? It feels as if the marketplace staff does not trust the students enough in that they won't hide other foods in the bowls as well. This seems unfair and a bit offensive to the student body, quite honestly. If it's an issue of cost,I'm sure if the price to use bowls was slightly more, students would still pay and use them. They are just a better vehicle for salads!"
You may be trustworthy, your friends may be trustworthy, but unfortunately a small percentage of your peers are not. We used to allow this, but some of your fellow students ruined it for you. We discovered some less than honest souls were "hiding" proteins like salmon and chicken in the bottom of the bowls and then covering them with salad and not declaring this at the cashier stand. We like to be trusting, but it happened enough times (in documented incidents) that we had to make an unpopular decision. Plates and to-go containers and eco-clamshells provide the cashiers with visible verification; bowls do not.
"I would like more lactaid stocked because it is always gone before the week is half way over and a lot of students are lactose-intolerant
We checked the Marketplace less than 30 minutes after your suggestion came in (Friday 1/29 at 11:20am) and the Lactaid was in stock and visible. It might have just been put out. We order from the dairy 4 days per week (MTThF), so the day of the week should not be an issue. Please ask any manager or cashier on duty if you don't see the Lactaid, and we will seek it out for you.
"please could we have cheese fries at the cooler? I think this would be a very popular option"
While we agree that Cheese Fries would probably be popular, the Cooler manager doesn't feel we can add the logistical challenges of having them on the menu all the time. Cheese Fries and Chili Cheese Fries are offered occasionally as a weekend special (when the grill menu is smaller). Some creative customers order sliced cheese on the side and microwave it onto their fries :-)
"The Japanese Eggplant salad at the specialty salad bar today (1/29) was SO good. Can you please make that again? I'm also super curious what is in the dressing."
We're glad you enjoyed this salad. It will be menued at the Specialty Salad Station again the week of February 8. The dressing is our homemade Karashi Vinagrette. It contains Japanese Karashi Mustard, Canola Oil, Lemon Juice, Miso and Soy Sauce.
"Why doesn't the marketplace provide yakisoba noodles as an option for stir fry anymore? The rice noodles tend to be over cooked and do not have the same taste as the yakisoba noodles."
We still have the Yakisoba Noodles. We were just using up an overstock of rice noodles the day you came (2/1). Should that happen again - ask for Yakisoba, we'll probably have them in the kitchen.

Wow - you are fast! The Ben and Jerry's Almond Milk based Ice Cream just launched yesterday (2/4). It may take awhile to for this trickle down to our suppliers....but we will look into it.
