Paul Di Girolomo established Superior Seafood in 1996. It began as a small company selling fresh and frozen seafood to Gelson’s supermarkets, and then grew to be the only supplier of fresh seafood for Whole Foods in various locations, including Southern California. They are devoted to sourcing sustainable products whenever possible, and participate in the Monterey Bay Aquarium Seafood Watch Program. Campus Dining purchases several items that comply with the Best Choice and Good Alternative rankings, Wild Alaskan Salmon and sustainably raised US farmed catfish.
